SEVENTY / THIRTY

Hello my fellow readers, my how long it's been. How the heck is everyone (feel free to comment and truly answer this question). I've missed the updating but I must be honest I needed the time away to "recharge". With that being said I am giving you all an UPDATE!

I chopped off all of my hair....Well the majority of it. The above photo is me feeling good and free and the below picture is of me (the old length) and my wonderful sister-in-law sporting our "borrowed" tiaras. 

My "pout" is a hot mess. SMH.

Back to my post title...I went to a wonderful entrepreneurial workshop in PA and one of the guest speakers was a doctor and she gave me a punch to the gut! Seventy / Thirty...Seventy / Thirty....ONLY THIRTY PERCENT OF WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU PHYSICALLY IS GENETIC OR PRE-DISPOSED TO, THE OTHER SEVENTY IS WHAT WE DO TO OURSELVES!! 

I'll wait and let that marinate! It hit me like a ton of bricks because in my mind of excuses, I can't loose weight because my family this or my family that. NOPE Mrs. Thang you aren't loosing weight because of what YOU do!

So my lovely readers, Mrs. Everythingandnothing2it is GETTING IT TOGETHER!!

Snoop "Lion" Dogg Concert Review

I was very reluctant to attend a Rap concert with my husband, because I am a die-hard neo-soul fanatic and quite frankly unless it was in heavy rotation on the radio I have no clue about Rab music. But I wanted a night out with the Mister so I entertained his idea, this is Mrs.everythingandnothing2it's take on the Mr.D-O-Double G....


YelaWolf was the opening act....

This was the crowd with a few die hard fans in front.


The doors opened at 6pm, we are almost always fashionably late so true to form we arrived at CMAC around 7:45pm, the opening act didn't come on until around 8:10pm.I believe as a promoter your emphasis should be on customer satisfaction had it not been for the "Box" we were lucky to be in and the constant barrage of GREAT individual attention I would have been completed annoyed and "Reasty to go"(I know reasty is spelled wrong auto check). 


Around 9:15pm still no sign of snoop the crowd began to really fill in the space....and then I. Couldn't. Breathe. I am not sure how many Rap concerts are like this but we were outdoors and yet there still was NO fresh air, then I look on stage and his band-mates, his hype crew, EVERYONE Lighting and passing. That place wrecked of Ganja. Needless to say when Snoop came on at 9:30pm the crowd was amped and so was I(I think I caught a contact).


I am going to leave you with a snippet of his last song and a my final review. Snoop is AWESOME, he reminds me of one of my uncles who without effort is just cool and full of don't worry be happy(Hey Uncle Eric). He delivered with every song and you got a feeling that he truly loves his fans. I do have to say during a couple songs "Uncle Junebug" comes out and dances and I believe his Unc left with a couple "groupies," lol. Despite changing my clothes in the garage and washing my hair immediately AND not getting home until almost 1am I'd DO IT ALL AGAIN!!! Awesome company, good food, great company and seeing the Mister enjoy himself is all that I can ask for!!

It may be loud so be cautious, if you're at work!

Outfit

The Long awaited outfit post,this was for the Snoop "Lion" Dogg concert. Check out my review......

The shirt is from Forever 21 and the shorts are a homemade concoction that I got a little scissor happy with and the patchwork...needs a little work, lol.

The shorts came from this inspiration...

The problem with this is that A)I am too grown for inappropriate lengths and to cut my jeans to expose my pockets, let's just say inappropriate is being nice.B)My thighs aren't quite ready for all that exposure so I was going for a medium look.I cut the outside of the pocket and "exposed" the pocket.I think next time I will just sew it so it looks like a patch and not....

The shoes are a play off the Louboutin "illusion" shoe except it's a LuLu shoe and it cost $18.95 (with coupon, plus shipping). I have to say it was comfortable to walk in but it was plastic and let's just say my feet had their own sauna.Luckily for the me we were in a VIP area of the concert and I could discreetly take them off, proceed to pat them down and then place back on feet.Once I got back home I noticed that there were holes in the side so maybe I was just partying too hard.... 


HAPPY FRIDAY LOVE BUGS, REMEMBER TO FIND A REASON TO SAY "AWESOMESAUCE"!!! Trust it makes everything feel better.

Life Happens......Moving On!!!

Lately I've been feeling a little..well a lot ho-hum and I just wanted to say hello to all of the people who "blog-watch," subscribe or pass through and were wondering what was going on with me.


There are times when life can be great yet you still have moments where all you want to do is be still and do nothing, well that was me for the last week. I also was feeling like I needed to reach out to some people who were on my mind and I was a little disappointed in the results leading me to go back on my word(letting go and giving it to GOD) but all is well now and surprisingly my blog brought one of them to me, which was really funny she said "I had to Google you because you didn't leave a number" lol......I'm on Google(I'm about to Google me RIGHT NOW!). I am not sure if we'll ever be how we were but I am..dare I say it...EXCITED to see what will happen.

God forgiven me, people have forgiven me and I believe everyone deserves to be forgiven.


I am picking myself up by the bootstraps and I am brushing myself off and I am moving on but I wanted to send you all a quick hello and let you know I have some posts coming up. So don't give up on me, stick around for some funny and interesting things, from my perspective of course.

So this weekend the Hubster took me out to easily one of my favorite spots of all time. so as you see above I am dressed in something very nice. I have made a personal life statement to NEVER suck in my stomach again...BUT I never said I wouldn't wear spanx! So that is what this dressed needed.

This is the restaurant.

About half way through the above meal can anyone guess what was going on???? The spanx was failing BIG TIME, so unknown to the hubby I decide to excuse myself and try and be extra sexy and do....(you all can figure it out i'm sure)

Well when I returned to the table I noticed that the clutch (from above) wouldn't close all the way so I placed it on the chair and pulled my chair in I very nicely leaned over and told the hubby what I had done to which he says "WHAT!!" (that was completely hilarious to me because in the movies it's usually a different reaction)

Anywho the night goes on we get ready to head back and for some reason I notice that my clutch is now able to CLOSE!!! WTFF(what the flying f***)! At one point during our evening there was a much older gentlemen who I thought lost his dentures or something because he stooped down, picked something up and kept it moving. NOW I KNOW WHAT HE PICKED UP!! 

I decided to share because at the time I didn't tell Hubster, I actually didn't tell him until today and he laughed so hard, I thought it would only be funny to me.. SMH and a lot creeped out! It was a nice pair too.
